Your ski touring Norway adventure awaits.

Difficulty:

Ski touring in Norway - your dream comes true on the island of Senja

Just imagine: You make your tracks through fresh powder snow - steep slopes below you, the deep blue North Atlantic in front of you. Ski tours on Senja are an unforgettable experience for anyone who wants to feel the magic of the north up close.

Senja is Norway's second largest island and lies between the well-known ski touring hotspots Lyngen and Lofoten - and is in no way inferior to them. On the contrary: the island impresses with an incredible variety of landscapes, challenging ascents, fantastic descents and breathtaking views as far as the sea.

Thanks to its favourable location on the Gulf Stream, moderate temperatures, perfect firn conditions and often abundant fresh snow prevail in spring - a paradise for ski tourers.

Personal. Authentic. Passionate.

We are a small, well-coordinated team of state-certified ski guides with a lot of experience and a real passion for Norway and touring. With us you don't book just an ordinary ski trip but a lovingly curated adventure with like-minded people

We have known the region for over 15 years and choose our tours carefully - always individualised, far from the mainstream and adapted to the group. This makes our Senja trips special - and often a tour that our guests never forget.

What you can expect:

  • ✅ Over 15 years of experience on the island of Senja

  • ✅ Customised tours off the beaten track

  • ✅ Personalised grouping according to performance & preference

  • ✅ Perfect for groups of friends or teams

  • ✅ Comfortable lodges right by the sea

  • ✅ Catering on the day of arrival & freshly caught fish on two evenings

  • ✅ Small groups & a real sense of community

Accommodation

We are accommodated in extremely cosy & modern lodges in the fishing village of Hamn i Senja. Why in lodges and not in a hotel? Because we want to strengthen the cohesion in the group and the community experience. The positive experiences of recent years with a great team spirit speak for themselves. Each lodge can accommodate six people in three double rooms. All lodges have the following facilities:

  • Comfortable double room
  • Shower, WC
  • Fully equipped kitchen
  • Washing machine & tumble dryer
  • Living room

Catering: We live in Self-catering-lodges. This means that each lodge is responsible for its own catering. We regularly visit the local supermarket to replenish our supplies. The menu also regularly includes fresh fish, which we buy directly from the fishermen at the harbour. On the day of arrival, we order catering and are spoilt with local delicacies. And if you don't want to cook yourself or eat freshly caught fish, you can walk 100 metres to the neighbouring hotel and enjoy local cuisine at good prices.

DAY 1 (Arrival)

Meeting point: Arrival Saturday until approx. 5 pm in Tromsö. You pick up the reserved hire cars and drive independently in small groups to Hamn on Senja (approx. 2:45 hours' drive). Depending on arrival time, a transfer by speedboat to Finnsnes is also possible. On the way, you will have the opportunity to buy provisions for the coming days. You will then move into the lodges. In the evening, you will have dinner together in the lodges. Dinner will be prepared for you on the day of arrival (catering) so that you don't have to cook yourself.

DAY 2

Sunday begins with a joint briefing, during which we discuss the programme for the next few days and important points of the ski tour.

We then carry out an avalanche transceiver training with avalanche search, emergency measures and companion rescue. The approximately two-hour emergency training is mandatory for all participants.

After training, we set off on our first short ski tour. On this two-hour ski tour, we get used to the conditions and warm up for the coming days.

In the afternoon, weather permitting, we get together for an aperitif and bring the first day of touring to a cosy close.
