Procedure according to your wishes
Your ski tour day starts at a time that suits you best: We can either meet directly at the starting point of the tour or - by arrangement - I can pick you up conveniently at your accommodation. We plan the exact tour individually according to your goals, your ability and the current conditions.
A classic day tour takes around 5 to 6 hours including breaks - enough time for enjoyable ascents, safe descents and unforgettable moments in nature. Your pace, your experience - everything is tailored to you.
The exact programme for the day depends on the snow, weather and avalanche conditions and the personal requirements of the participants.
Included services:
- Guided tour by a state-certified ski guide (5-6 hours incl. breaks)
- Hire of emergency equipment (avalanche transceiver, shovel, probe)
- Tour planning & organisation
- Personal advice in advance
Services not included:
- Costs for arrival and departure
- Costs for lift tickets and taxi transfers
- Costs for accommodation and catering
- Other equipment you need on the tour (skis, skins, ABS rucksack, harness, crampons, etc.)
- Expenses of the guide on site
- Individual tips
Participation requirements
The minimum requirement for ski touring is safe, parallel skiing in the open ski area. You should also have enough stamina for an hour and a half to two hours of ascent and the subsequent descent.
If you want to go on more challenging tours, you should have a head for heights, be able to master hairpin bends, ideally have experience in using crampons and crampons and have the stamina for a three to four-hour ascent.
We assume that you know how to use emergency equipment (avalanche transceiver, shovel, probe). We can practise together before the tour and refresh your avalanche emergency skills.
Price information
The Guide tariffs are based on the recommendation of the Austrian Mountain Guide Association and the usual local prices. The prices quoted are guide prices for a day tour. For multi-day tours, the price is agreed individually. For day programmes, the ski guide's expenses are included in the price. For multi-day tours, these expenses (travel costs, overnight accommodation with half board, lift or taxi costs) are generally borne by the guest.
