Frequently Asked Questions

First, your booking will be confirmed by us. The ski guide will then contact you by phone or WhatsApp one to two days before the planned tour day. You will discuss the planned tours with your ski guide and arrange the meeting point and time. You will also clarify the necessary equipment with the guide.

The freeride ski touring day usually starts between 8:30 AM and 9:00 AM and lasts until around 4:00 PM. During the day, you'll take a break in one of the mountain huts or restaurants. Definitely bring a cereal bar and something to drink for on the go!

The exact daily schedule always depends on the snow, weather and avalanche conditions and will ultimately be decided by the ski guide.

You require the full avalanche emergency equipment consisting of an transceiver, shovel, and probe. An avalanche airbag rucksack is also recommended. If you don't have your own equipment, you can rent it at Intersport Arlberg rent. In addition to functional ski clothing worn in layers, freeride skis with touring bindings and skins are essential! We recommend skis with a waist width of 95 to 110 mm, ascent-compatible touring bindings, and ski boots with a walking function.

For example:

Telescopic ski poles with wide powder baskets are equally useful. You can get more information about equipment from your ski guide.
