How a PEAKX spontaneous tour works

1) Notification & Information

call for tendersThe day trips are usually advertised by our ski guides and mountain guides about 3 days in advance.

InformationYou will receive exclusive information about all newly advertised tours via our WhatsApp channel informed (instead of via an email newsletter).

2) Binding registration & deadline

registrationYou must register for the desired tour. A deposit of €40 is required upon registration. The registration deadline is 4:00 p.m. on the day before the planned tour at the latest.

You hereby confirm that you meet the technical requirements (solid skiing technique off-piste) and have the necessary stamina.

3) Implementation and confirmation

 The final decision on whether the event will take place will be made at 4:30 p.m. on the day before. The event will only take place if the minimum number of participants is reached.

You will receive an email with the booking confirmation. This email will specify the exact meeting point and time.

4) The tour day (duration: 5–6 hours)

Meeting point:You will meet your ski guide and the group at the agreed time at the specified meeting point. You will pay the remainder of the guide fee in cash to the ski guide.

After a brief safety check and a briefing, the tour begins. The planned tour duration is 5–6 hours, including breaks. Enjoy the freeride or ski touring experience in the best available conditions, guided by a professional PEAKX ski guide.

Included services:

  • Guided tour by a state-certified ski guide (5 hours per day, including breaks)
  • Hire of emergency equipment (avalanche transceiver, shovel, probe)
  • Tour planning & organisation
  • Personal advice in advance

Services not included:

  • Costs for arrival and departure
  • Costs for lift tickets and taxi transfers
  • Costs for accommodation and catering
  • Other equipment you need on the tour (skis, skins, ABS rucksack, harness, crampons, etc.)
  • Expenses of the guide on site
  • Individual tips

Participation requirements

Our ski and freeride tours are NOT beginner or introductory tours.

We require solid skiing technique off-piste and physical fitness appropriate to the respective programme.

Please note the detailed requirements regarding technique and endurance (e.g. 800–1,200 metres of elevation gain per day for a medium-difficulty tour) directly in the respective tour description.

registration deadlineRegistration is possible until 4 p.m. at the latest on the day before.

ImplementationAt 4:30 p.m. on the day before the booked tour, a decision will be made as to whether the tour can take place based on the minimum number of participants and the conditions.

  • Backpack (approx. 25-35 litres), ABS backpack if available
  • Suitable ski touring boots with walking function
  • Ski touring skis with bindings
  • Suitable and well-adhering tensioning adhesive skins
  • Telescopic ski poles
  • Modern avalanche transceiver (avalanche transceiver, 3-antenna device) with new batteries*
  • Avalanche probe and avalanche shovel (made of metal)*
  • Helmet (recommended, not a must)
  • Clothing suitable for the mountains, dry change of clothes, 1 litre of liquid, snack/cereal bar, change of gloves
